The Best Dishes to Try this Fall at St. Augustine Fish Camp

Oct 9, 2020 | Courses, Food

St. Augustine Fish Camp is beyond excited to bring seasonal seafood dishes to locals and visitors this fall. From locally caught fish to warming cocktails, there’s no better spot for a great meal in St. Augustine this October. While most people crave waterfront dining during the summer, we love sitting outside in cooler temperatures and not breaking a sweat. If you agree, here are a few of our favorite dishes to try this season:

Spicy Seafood Linguini Warms You Up to Ward Off the Cool Breeze

We can’t think of a better dish to enjoy as the temperature begins to drop. St. Augustine Fish Camp’s spicy seafood linguini boasts a generous amount of fish and shellfish. We flavor the dish with rich tomatoes and finish with a smooth white wine.

When we put together this dish, we knew we wanted to keep it light yet filling. Unlike many pasta recipes, this one stays away from a much-too-heavy cream sauce. The Fish Camp chefs created this dish to be the ideal transition from summer to fall — spicy clam linguini with garlic, tomato and parsley. We encourage you to pair this fan-favorite with a lightly chilled glass of pinot noir or a full-bodied chardonnay.

You Can’t Go Wrong with Blue Crab Cakes this Fall

A warming plate of crab cakes satisfies every craving in the fall. We love to pair ours with a housemade caper dill aioli and a delicious turnip slaw to indulge in the perfect seasonal entree. We hand make our blue crab cakes every day and serve them up with your choice of side.

Another benefit of ordering crab cakes? Saving room for dessert, of course. There are a million reasons to love sweater weather, but guilt-free sweets really take the cake. It’s hard to beat the Fish Camp’s sweet and salty chocolate torte on a chilly fall night.

Stay Full but Fit with a Hearty Greek Salad

Not many people have the self-control to cut calories in the fall. From pumpkin spice lattes to warming red meat, there’s not-so-healthy food everywhere you turn. The good news is, St. Augustine Fish Camp offers craveable menu options that are low in calories.

Our Greek salad with olives and feta is our go-to favorite for a healthy fall lunch. Pair your salad with Rick’s All Day Seafood Soup for a cozy meal made in heaven. Greek salad is the perfect low-carb, low-calorie, low-sugar meal choice to accommodate any diet. Add a glass of vino to keep it light but fun.
